Joshua Trees National Park in the high desert of California inspired our Joshua shelf unit. The Park is named for its’ twisted Joshua trees and is characterized by rugged rock formations.
A craggy stone base anchors our Joshua and branches that “reach for the heavens” while providing a sturdy structure for three perfectly sculpted and live edge pine shelves.
Joshua sees himself as a talking piece at the entrance of a ski lodge. Whether you want to display family photos from past ski seasons or just want a safe resting place for those ski passes at the end of the day, Joshua will meet your needs, adding artistic flair and bringing nature into the heart of your mountain home.
Joshua is a very stout piece with a good proportion of weight at the lower trunk. Joshua’s base is solid rock.
On top of this rock plinth, an attractive wenge collar adorns the base of the trunk and structural spine of this piece which is made from sturdy and silky manzanita wood. The the trunk is centered in the base providing the starting point for the eye-catching symmetry and sense of proportion that Joshua exudes.
Lastly, Joshua’s shelves are made from live edge pine that was harvested 90 miles north of Yellowstone Park, and adds further warm tones to this item.
